Meet the McNutts

Juli Anna & Chad McNutt — Wyoming ranchers, parents, and storytellers

We are Juli Anna and Chad McNutt, a husband-and-wife team who write children's books inspired by the real-life adventures of our family. With the help of our two daughters, we built a small flock of sheep in Wyoming — muddy boots, beautiful sunsets, and the watchful presence of our guardian dog, Bo Peep.

Bo Peep isn't just a character in our stories. She's a real member of our family. We've been amazed by her courage, her gentle heart, and her unwavering dedication to keeping our flock safe. It was our awe for her that inspired us to write this series.

Through our books, we hope to spark curiosity about the natural world, encourage respect for all creatures, and show that even small, quiet acts of bravery can make a big difference.

Our daughters have been part of every step — from building fences to bottle-feeding lambs. And the adventures don't stop here. We have many more Bo Peep stories to share.
